Excursion to Serekunda

(local market and Batik factory)

You will be picked up from your hotel at an agreed time and we drive to Serekunda the largest cities of The Gambia. Serekunda is founded by Portuguese colonists in 17th century and build up further iby British and afterwards by local Gambian people. We will visit the market which is being held every day. You will see food, clothes, shoes etc on market. You will also be able (if you wish) to make contact and speak with local people on market. I can help you to make contact if you are interested.

We will also visit batik factory which is close to market.

This excursion will take about ½ day and can be combined with another ½ day excursion our City trip to Gambia´ capital Banjul (also shown on this website) .
